Ok here we go again!!!! As everyone who is close to me knows that this event really means something to both my family and myself. For those who don't know well here's a little summary. Back in April of 2002 my wife's family suffered a loss very close to them. Amber was a passenger of a vehicle in a drunk driving accident. Since then her family has started the Amber Gillespie Memorial Scholarship to honor her. I have in turn tried to do all I can in raising monies to contribute to the charity, and what better way than to have fun in doing so. Last year the event raised over $3000 and was a huge success. So as for the players, friends, and businesses, who were a part of last years event I again send out a huge thank you for your support. I hope you can all do so again and that is why we are expecting and even larger turnout. So on June 17th we will be hosting the 2nd annual Amber Gillespie Memorial Tournament.
Come one come all. If you loved it last year you will love it even more this year. Last year we had 70 poker players and over 40 blackjack players. This year we will have 100 poker players and at least 50 blackjack players. so this year
Now the previous tourneys have had a maximum of 45 players but in this new venue we will host a max of 80 players. Almost double what we had before. BIGGER prizes!!!! NY plans to bring their best but NJ knows that ain't shit. The details of the tourney are as follows. A $150 buy in is where we are at. The breakdown is $120 for prize pool, $20 for food and drinks as well as rental of the place we are having it at, and $10 goes to the dealers we have hired for the tourney. So there is your break down of you dollars. Pretty self explanitory. You will start with either $2500 or $3000 in chip monies.(TBD) The blinds will be 15 minute blinds with this structure: 25-25; 25-50; 50-100; 100-200; 200-400; 300-600; 400-800;
500-1000; 1000-1500; 1000-2000; 1500-3000; 2000-4000; 3000-6000; 4000-8000; 5000-10000
7500-15000; 10000-20000 till the end. So there you have your tourney upfront structure and all.
